Day 1 : Tangier - chefchaouen
Our 5 days adventure from Tangier to Marrakech via the Sahara desert begins with a pick-up from the airport or your accommodation. We will start the trip with a visit to Tangier city before heading to the enchanting blue city of Chefchaouen, known as the blue Jewel due to its buildings and houses painted in blue and white colors. The city is nestled in the Rif mountains and boasts a stunning colorful landscape, making it one of the most beautiful cities in Morocco. You will have ample time to explore Chefchaouen on your own, take memorable photos, and immerse yourself in the peaceful ambiance of the town. The night will be spent at a comfortable hotel or riad in Chefchaouen.
On our second day of the 5 days in Morocco from Tangier to Marrakech via the Sahara desert, we will begin with a delicious local breakfast in Chefchaouen. Afterward, we’ll drive to Fez, passing through the imperial city of Meknes. During the journey, we’ll visit the magnificent Babb el-Mansur gateway and other notable monuments before continuing on to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis.
As the day comes to a close, we’ll arrive in Fez, the old city, and check into our hotel or riad to spend the night.
We’ll commence our journey towards the Sahara desert on the third day of our 5 days desert tour from Tangier. The first stop is Ifran, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco,” followed by Azrou, located in the Atlas Mountains, where we can spot monkeys and capture some stunning photographs. Afterward, we’ll stop at a viewpoint in the Ziz Valley to take in the panoramic scenery before driving to Erfoud. Here, we’ll visit a local fossils workshop before finally reaching Merzouga, where we’ll take a camel ride to a luxurious desert campsite. Once there, we’ll be treated to traditional Berber hospitality, check into our lavish tents, and enjoy a scrumptious local dinner. The night will be filled with entertainment around the campfire, including music, dance, and drumming.
Begin your day by witnessing the breathtaking sunrise views and savoring a scrumptious breakfast before returning to town. From there, we’ll head to Rissani and indulge in the traditional souk experience. Afterward, we’ll continue to Todra Gorges where you can enjoy an hour-long walk by the river, learn about the local culture and geography by interacting with the friendly locals. Following lunch, we’ll cross Dades Valley, the rose city of Kalaat M’Gouna, and Skoura, before arriving at Ouarzazate where we’ll spend the night in a comfortable hotel or riad.
On the final day of our 5-day trip from Tangier to Marrakech via the Sahara Desert, we will start with a local breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a tour of the fascinating Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. Our first stop will be at the famous Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the last Berber chieftain’s residence during the 19th century. After lunch, we will continue our journey to Marrakech, passing through the scenic Tizi N’Tichka mountain pass, reaching a height of 2260 meters. Along the way, we will visit charming Berber villages before concluding our trip in Marrakech, where we will drop you off at the airport or your accommodation.
