Our 4 Days from Tangier to Marrakech via Merzouga desert tour begins with a pickup from your accommodation. On the first day, we head straight to the stunning blue city of Chefchaouen. As we wander through its narrow streets adorned with green plants and red roses, you will be captivated by its charming beauty. We will take a leisurely stroll along the river that runs through this town and enjoy a refreshing mint tea in the grand Plaza Uta El Hamam. For lunch, we will visit a local restaurant that serves traditional Moroccan dishes. Later in the day, we will drive to Fez, where we will spend the night and prepare for our journey to the Sahara desert.
Our journey from Fez, where we’ll have a delicious local breakfast in our Riad before hitting the road to Merzouga Sahara desert. The drive takes us through the Atlas mountains, with breathtaking views of nature. Our first stop is Ifrane, also known as the Switzerland of Africa in Morocco. From there, we visit Azrou and its cedar forests where friendly monkeys play, before making our way to Midelt for lunch. After lunch, we continue to Erfoud city, crossing through Ziz Valley and stopping at a scenic spot for some great photo opportunities. Our next stop is a fossil shop in Erfoud before we head to the Sahara desert where our camels await to take us on a memorable one-night camping experience under a starry desert sky. After dinner at the camp, our Berber friends will entertain us with traditional Berber music and dance accompanied by drums around the campfire, making this a unique and unforgettable experience.
After waking up in the middle of the Sahara desert and enjoying a beautiful sunrise while having a delicious breakfast at the camp, you will have two options to get back to Merzouga town: by camels or 4×4 Jeep. Once back in Merzouga, we will head to Rissani to explore Tafilalet, the place where the Alaouite dynasty of Morocco originated, and visit the local market of Rissani. Our next stop will be Tinghir to visit Todgha Gorge, and then we will continue to Dades Valley where we will spend the night in a hotel or riad.
On the final day of our 4-day tour from Tangier to Marrakech via Merzouga, we will explore the Valley of Roses in Kalaat Megona and Skoura, known for its beautiful palm groves. We will also visit a movie studio in Ouarzazate, known as the Hollywood of Morocco. Our next stop will be at Ait-Ben-Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the most well-known fortified cities in the world.
